On this Tuesday, I am very grateful that Joel has new found passion. Joel has tried many things in his young life, but I have kind of nudged him in to a lot of things. But he found this passion all by himself: the school band. It is only the first week into the new year but he is really, really enjoying it. For that I am very grateful.

Gratituesday

I have done a lot of thinking about what I am grateful for this past week. While I was having a conversation with my very moody preteen nearly 12 year old darling son, it dawned on me. I am very grateful for God blessing me enough to be the care taker of my sweet family. Whether or not it is my moody preteen, my midlife crisis husband or my button pushing 8 year old, they are my life, blood, sweat and tears. I would trade nothing in the entire world for my three men. If they shed one tear, I shed 1 million, or grin one smile, I grin 1 million smiles. What else would a God loving woman ask for. Thank you to Laura for hosting Gratituesday at Heavenly Homemakers

Gratituesday: the gift of health

Today I spent the better part of my day at the VA Hospital. While I grumbled about having to spend my entire day there. I am very lucky and fortunate to have a clean bill of health. I had my womanly yearly examination, a mammogram, blood work done, I even talked to a dietitian. I have a slightly high LDL and my doctor prescribed a B complex vitamin for that. I have lost 6 ponds and 2 inches around the waste in the past 6 months. So good health is what I am grateful for today. Thank you for hosting Gratituesday Laura!!

Gratituesday: April 12, 2011

Today is Gratituesday and to day I am so happy for the warm weather and the promise that spring is really on it's way even to the UP of Michigan. I have two loads of laundry on the line, drying by the blessing of the warm sun. Also today was the spring music concert at the elementary school my boys attend. The kids all sang their little hearts out. They had such bright cheerful smiles, you could not help but to smile just seeing them. Today I am so thankful spring and music in the air and in my soul. Gratituesday: True Friends

Gratituesday: I am so blessed to have the friends I have, some are life long friends, some are friends from old military days, and some are new internet friends. Even while my heart aches with grief, I know I am truly blessed with some many friendships that I hold close to my heart. To read about others' blessings visit Laura at Heavenly Homemakers .

Gratituesday March 1, 2011

I am very thankful for a lot of things today, one of them is having such a mild day to haul more wood into the house. DH is not feeling well and there is no school today, so that means it is the boys' and my job to haul some wood into the house. It is 37 degrees in the UP today on March 1st, very warm sunny day. We have about 4-6 more weeks at least of cold weather and our wood load was nearly depleted in the house, after spending the afternoon outside in the sunshine with my hard working sons, we will be staying warm for at least that long. I am also thankful that I got in a very tiring work out at the same time. God is good! Join us for Gratituesday at Heavenly Homemakers !

Gratituesday: November 23, 2010

I cannot believe that is has been two weeks since I have written. Today I am joining Laura from Heavenly Homemakers for Gratituesday. I have spent most of the day putsing round the house. I enjoyed my DH's company before he had to go to work, he made me an excellent omelet. Then he went to work, I made fresh bread and cookies. It was just in the nick of time that I finished the cookies that the bus pulled up and dropped off my two boys. I got to spend snack time talking about their days, then help with homework. So what I am trying to say that I am very thankful for my sweet men that I get to share the life with. I would not trade any of them for anything.
