Costume Super Center - Costume Review

Image
Everyone knows how little boys love to dress up! My two boys are no different. When we were given a chance to do a review of a costume we jumped with excitement! CostumeSuperCenter.com has a wonderful selection of boys cartoon costumes in stock. They offer free shipping both ways on all size and costume exchanges.  I let my youngest son pick the costume, he chose Spongebob . What 8 year old boy does not love Spongebob, right!? When the costume arrived I was so said that I had to wait for the bus to come for Noah to try it on. It is a two hour wait from mail time to bus time I was like a child on Christmas morning!! Noah was so excited when he got home and I told him he could try it on right away. He did a happy dance for me and the camera!! He knew that mama was ready for photos for the blog. :) I am very impressed with the quality of this costume, the details are life like.  Noah has slept in this costume a number of times and to my complete amazement the costume st

ANTIQUE WEBSITES

Posted by Virgil Burks We looked into clear 4g reviews and ended up upgrading our service. I have learned about this great new website that has really sparked my interest. It is called Miller’s Antiques. I love antiques and often buy, sell, and trade. When people ask me what I collect , I tell them anything and everything old. Of course, I have some of my favorite things like estate jewelry, china, and vintage linens, but I also like a lot of other things. The cool thing about this website is that it has a free huge glossary with thousands of entries. Anything that you want to know about antiques you can find on the sites. Over the last couple of days, I have been making an effort to start reading through it. I haven’t even made it through the “A’s” yet, but I have learned a lot already. I told my parents about the site. The have started using it and like it to. It is really broadening my knowledge base about antiques. I feel like a much more confident collector now!

December in review

Image
It has been a fun filled crazy busy month. But now all of our holiday obligations are over, now it is time to sit at home enjoying the beauty of the season. The boys and I will do a bunch of baking, our gingerbread houses and puzzles. But this is suppose to be about what we  have already done. Our 4H group sold candy bars at the craft  bazaar. We had our Sunday school program We went to Joel's first band concert. We put up our tree-our family's first real Christmas tree. It is a new tradition that we plan to keep. The smell is just amazing.  They really are having fun. We were 'trying' to encourage a natural look instead of the forced smiles that appear very often in our photos. We also had a bit of mischievousness that is what is happening here in a nut shell.

To celebrate the release of a new novel to the Seven Halos series, author Monica Leonelle is doing a Kindle Fire giveaway for Silver Smoke, the first novel in the series! Silver Smoke is the highly-rated (4.8 stars on Amazon) debut novel about the Hallows and the Nephilim, the descendants of archangels and humans. Here's a description of the book: Brie van Rossum has fame, fortune, and beauty, but there’s one thing she doesn’t have–the name of her mother’s supernatural killer. The Hallows, descendants of the archangels, don’t think Milena was murdered.. but can Brie trust them when their government, the New Order, wants her dead? She’d better figure it all out soon… … because when Brie finds out who she really is, the hunt will begin. And Milena might not be the only casualty. Like mother, like daughter… We'll get to the contest details in a minute, but first, Monica gave us an exclusive excerpt of the book for the blog tour: Brie ran do

Simply Potatoes Review

Simply Potatoes Southwest Style Hash Browns Wake up your taste buds with the bold, robust flavor of Southwestern Style. Like our Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, our Simply Potatoes Southwest Style Hash Browns start with fresh, never frozen potatoes. The bold southwest flavors of onion, green and red peppers, jalapeños, and spices deliver just the right amount of heat to wake up your taste buds.  Product review: OMG! They were so good! I live in the semi tundra section of the USA and we enjoy our comfort foods and potatos are nearly the top of my favorite comfort food list! The Simply Potatoes are fresh and not frozen, and so simple to cook. I sprayed a frying pan to heat it up and then just dumped the Simply Potatoes in the pan and fried until golden brown. Paired up with an egg and slice of toast it was a great breakfast after Sunday worship. The bag of Simply Potatoes was just the prefect size for our family. No left overs or wasted food. Discl

Getting my Act Together

I am a person that can get distracted and side tracked very easily. I can also be lured by being lazy or sneaking in more sleep then I really need. So, this post is about getting my act together-my house, my life, my family and mostly me back on track to accomplish the most out of every single day. I have been thinking about a few small daily goals, and if I accomplish them on all or most days what great progress would be made at the end of each week. So here is my list of daily goals, with a bit of explaination with some of them. 1. walk/exercise at least 20 minutes. 2. clean/work on my part time job. 3. cook something-whether it is our big meal of the day, remaking leftovers, batch cooking or working on         goodies for gift baskets for the holidays or birthdays. 4. clean/organize at home for at least 20 minutes. 5. work on basement a little bit. 6. plan for 20 minutes-if it is budgeting, or meal planning, trip planning, you get the idea. 7. read God's word for at le
