Still Picking up the Pennies

So I did a lot of things right this year but a lot incorrectly. One of the biggest things I did wrong was the lack of prep work I could have spaced out all year long. That is where I am going with this post. I am going to try to work on one craft idea a month in preparation for gift giving for Christmas 2011. January's project is going to be oven mitts. As I need them and everyone uses them. So I will post a few photos after the boys and I have a few hours on the sewing machine. I also should say that a constant goal of mine is to increase my boys sewing talent. The two ideas go hand in hand. If you have any ideas that a mother of two boys with normal gift giving list could use please post in the comments.

yes that is the truth! It is 93 days until Christmas. Unlike other years where I join the 60 day, or 90 crap til Christmas, helper thing mahickies to help you prep for Christmas slowly, I have joined before, THIS year I am making it work!!! 100 days til Christmas is a web site that sends inspirational little tidbit to do today to make the holidays happy and stress free AND THIS is the year I AM making it work. Usually by now I am completely done with Christmas prep! This year we have had so many changes in our lives and it shows, I have just about nothing done!! so I am challenging myself to do one major or semi major thing a day. That way I should be done in the nick of time, but without major stress or burn out. I am starting Friday, I work from 11-5. I plan to sign our names to all of our Christmas cards, and start addressing them.
