Today I worked for a few hours, with my most fave gal pals, they are so good for my soul AND I get paid to spend time with them. As promised, I took the boys to the beach in return for Joel watching Noah for a few hours(while I worked) drinks and snacks all from home. The boys getting ready to enjoy the beach. My boys and I. Me, enjoying the sun at the beach with a good read, a free book. Noah enjoying the water, before we went to the beach, I warned the boys about going out too deep into the water. The real story about the the depth of the water My favorite moment of the day. Then we came in (instead of going out) for pizza for dinner. I have frugal day planned for tomorrow, Lowes is having a Build and Grow workshop for the kids and they are making tow trucks and you all know I have TWO tow truck wannabees here in my house, so it just seemed like a given that we'd go. Did I mention that these workshops are free and start at 10am? I arranged for two mystery shopin...

It was the last day of school, today YAYYYEEE!!! I am so excited about 3 months with my most favorite people in the entire world. If that was not enough fun for a Friday! My 8 year old has been very fasinated with the hammer for the past few days. So, I have put on my thinking cap to find safe fun things for him to hit with the hammer. ICE!!! You need: a hammer, saftey googles and ice, lots and lots of ice. This is Noah very happy to demonstrate. Even the nearly 12 year old got into distroying the ice with the hammer. Noah my hammerer little dude. Each child got this much ice to distroy, let me tell you that next time these bowls will be FULL. You should have heard how hard they worked and giggled. They loved it. Here is another last Friday's frugal adventure: Sight seeing a place that we usually cruise past at least 4 times a month but never stopped. This is right outside Chassell, MI. Not sure what the name of the place is but it is a lookout on to the wet l...

Fantastic Frugal Fridays

Today my boys had a half day of school, so I wanted to do something fun for the afternoon. The rules were we could not spend any money but could use some gas from the truck. So we decided on taking Mother nature up on her beauty she provided about 3 feet of new snow over the past week. We went sledding. My son is the one being pulled backup the hill in the blue and black jacket. We brought cocoa and hot dogs from home and invited a few cousins along and had a bonfire. This is a look down the hill. My crazy and one of my favorite sister in laws road down the hill together and nearly peed our pants laughing. It was a great day!!
