This is just a quick post to pass along a great deal. It is Christmas present time, I have a great freebie/gift idea for you all. A free 8x8 Shutterfly Photo Book, click here  for your code. You upload your photos, set up an 8x8 photo book and put the code in while in the check out process. I just used my free code as proofs for my son's graduation photos. It is so hard to decide which photos we like the best on the computer screen. Also, it will be a stocking stuffer. My total cost $8.47 for standard shipping, it is due for arrival at my home December 22-23, just in time.

Thoughtful Tuesday

I cannot believe it is May3 already. Spring should feel like it is in the air; but I put my boys on the bus this morning with winter hats and jackets. It was 32 degrees! It is suppose to get up to the low 60s and I hope it does. My yard could use some raking. We were worried about one of our hens, she had been gone for about 4 days, no sign in the yard of a struggle. Christmas 2011 prep

So I did a lot of things right this year but a lot incorrectly. One of the biggest things I did wrong was the lack of prep work I could have spaced out all year long. That is where I am going with this post. I am going to try to work on one craft idea a month in preparation for gift giving for Christmas 2011. January's project is going to be oven mitts. As I need them and everyone uses them. So I will post a few photos after the boys and I have a few hours on the sewing machine. I also should say that a constant goal of mine is to increase my boys sewing talent. The two ideas go hand in hand. If you have any ideas that a mother of two boys with normal gift giving list could use please post in the comments.

Homemade Christmas gifts that I want to try.

Homemade Christmas gifts that I want to try this year. I always tell myself that gift giving should come from the heart. Even while we are on a tight budget, I love to give nice, useful gifts. So I am going to post a few links that I want to try this year. Soap all dressed up I will keep posting ideas as I see them.
