Thankful day number 3= my life partner
I am so thankful for the gift the Lord has given me in my partner in life with. He is not perfect, but he is perfect for me. I know the Lord had us planned for each other. I separated from the U.S. Air Force on August 22, 1995. I expected to go home to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to get an education and meet people. I lived with my Grandmother for the first 6 months, it was wonderful to get to spend so much time with aunts, uncles, and all of my cousins. My brother Randy also lived in the same town, he introduced me to a few of his friends. I love spending this time with my family, but my heart started giving clues about being ready to settle down. My brother introduced me to this friend of his that he had known for twenty plus years. I was sitting on the love seat in my Grandmother's living room in sweatpants and not washed hair just chilling. All of a sudden my bother came in the door with a friend, he introduced me to Dave. He took my breath away. A few days later I moved into my first apartment as a civilian (not in the military) and I started my college classes and a new job. I invited Dave to a gathering to celebrate, my new apartment and life. Well after that day we have not ever been able to separate ourselves. He makes me smile when life sucks. He supports all of my crazy adventures. He is such a blessing. We have been married for 21 years.
