Just when things are going blissfully well

Just when things are going blissfully well, then IT always seems to happen. We had just purchased a decent car for a good price. Decided to pay off the last bit of credit card debt we have $2300 from our tax refund. Then IT happened. I came home to this thing.......

in the basement making a horrific sound, it truly sounded like it was going to blow up. I panicked, dh was not home and unreachable, I did leave a message at work. I had my oldest son bringing things out to the car just in-case we did have to leave. I grabbed our box of important papers, keys to cars, what else!? A day worth of clothes for each of us, school bags, winter jackets. THEN DH called and told me that it would not blow up {WHEW!} but a water tank may flood the basement and blast hot, HOT water every where, also to put out the fire in the wood stove. Did that. Then I had to get the kids out of here, the noise was so loud and scary. We put the indoor pets in the detached garage and went for ride. When we came back, DH was home and had the situation under control.

So we are not using wood heat until we can have some one come look at the "circulation pump". Propane is so much more expensive but thank God we have nearly a full tank.

So we talked and made a choice of not to payoff the credit card, to keep paying it down and keep an emergency fund. As right now we have NO savings.

I see evidence that I have had some recent traffic here at my blog, please leave a comment saying hi. I'd love to hear from you.

About how much is Propane where you live? Ours is 2.25 a gallon 100 gallon minimum. I'm so happy you stopped by Mommy Does... today.
I always try to make it a point to visit, if not follow:D
Thanks for inviting me to enter your giveaway. I applied and wasn't granted VIP Insider status since I'm not so active in social networking sites. I just set up a FB this week so maybe I will get more luck that way? IDK. Glad you checked me out!

Hi Brooke Anna, I am not getting notices anymore when people leave comments, not sure what is going on. But thanks for stopping by. Our propane was $2.56 a gallon, we just had them fill it and they will bill us for it. Not sure what the total will be, I always sit down before opening that envelope.
