The Great Curriculum Swap – coming up September 13

I am not an official home schooler, but at heart I am. I try to teach my boys every lesson they need to learn here at home. And at Heavenly Homemakers, Laura is hosting a The Great Curriculum Swap – coming up September 13 it sounds like an excellent source to home schoolers on a tight budget. I was sent a Aromatherapy Candle - in "geranium" scent. The candle comes in a very pretty tin, that is just the right size for gift giving or traveling tucked away in a suit case. The candle burns evenly and steady with out flickering. I did not really care for the geranium scent too much. My husband also did not care for the scent.

Trick or Treating

Authored by Leandro Delgado While we were trick or treating this year through the neighborhood, I noticed how many of our neighbors had security systems installed in their homes, or at least had the sign out in their yard. I was surprised to see how many neighbors had a system installed, because I never thought of our neighborhood as a high crime area, or that anyone would want to come in here and steal from us. We are just your basic, working class neighborhood. I can’t imagine someone wanting to come in and steal what we have. It did get me thinking, though, that maybe the neighbors aren’t as worried about being robbed as they are some other kind of violence. I mentioned it to my husband, and he said that we should look into getting a home security system as well. It seems sort of extravagant to me, but whatever.
